1st Ever Book Fair a Success!

March 24, 2013 by Susan Armendariz

The Nativity School community not only rocks, but loves its books! Our first-ever Scholastic Book Fair – designated as a fundraiser for the Revlon Run-Walk for Cancer – exceeded all expectations, raising more than $1,500! A big thank you to our amazing Book Fair captain, Ambar Valencia, who, with her team Susanna Guillen, Edna Ramirez, Yuliana Espinoza, Norma Cabrera and the rest of the dedicated Nativity teachers, worked tirelessly (and long hours) to make this Book Fair such an amazing success!

“It was great to see the children so enthusiastic about reading,” observes principal Antonio Felix. “Some even came back several times to get more books, and the parents talked about how much they wanted to buy books to read to their children.”

The fair was so successful, there is talk of having another again in the fall. Stay tuned!
