Nativity Students Pay it Forward for Breast Cancer

January 14, 2013 by Susan Armendariz

The Avon Foundation for Women recently recognized the students of Nativity School for raising $500 to support the foundation. “We are moved and inspired by the extraordinary fundraising efforts of your students during Breast Cancer awareness month,” wrote Carol Kurzig, the Foundation’s president, in a thank you letter to the school. “It is heartwarming to know these young children played an active role in the fight to end cancer while learning important lessons on their individual power to make a difference.” Nativity students raised money and awareness by each donating $1 for the priviledge of wearing pink accessories with their uniforms during Breast Cancer awareness month. Way to go, Nativity!
