5th Annual Beacon of Hope Gala a Success

October 30, 2016 by Susan Armendariz

The most lasting thing we can do with our lives is love, which is the greatest gift God gave us. The legacy of ones love and leadership was celebrated with many Nativity friends and supporters at our 5th Annual Beacon of Hope Gala on September 17, 2016. The Nativity community was honored to salute the school’s champion and Alumna Mary Hernandez, who was presented with the Beacon of Hope award by Principal, Antonio Felix (pictured). Many inspiring remarks highlighted the selfless support of education, community and charities, including Nativity, where Mary Hernandez serves on the board. The inspiring evening also featured a Mass celebrated Rev. Richard Sunwoo and the Nativity Student Choir. The Student Choir also performed their rendition of “Hero”, which underscored the feelings of everyone in the room, who were also uplifted by the remarks of the event’s MC, Kevin Keane. The event raised the necessary funds to support tuition assistance since there is still a tuition assistance need.
