Nativity School focuses on its religious mission in every facet of the curriculum. Students at Nativity School receive religion instruction daily. Beginning with morning assembly, prayer is incorporated into class and activities throughout the school day. Twice each month, the school gathers as a community to celebrate Mass. Nativity School celebrates religious events each season, such as the Rosary Night in October, the Thanksgiving prayer service, the Christmas programs, and the Passion play.
Spiritual formation is central to the curriculum and is embedded throughout all academic subject areas. By learning Catholic teachings and practices, students grow in understanding the importance of being faithful to commitments and of service to others.
Sacraments
Students are prepared to receive their Sacraments of Reconciliation and First Holy Communion. Parents whose children will receive the Sacraments of Reconciliation and First Holy Communion attend a family catechesis program throughout the year their child is being prepared.
