Amen.

Blessings,

                                                                               Nativity School’s Pastor’s Message
May: Month of the Virgin Mary

Dear parents and representatives of our school,

I greet you and wish you through this letter that all of you and all the beings you love are well, amid the limitations that we have throughout this time of COVID-19.

These are very difficult days, weeks, and months for all of us, for all humanity, in which we have seen how a virus has practically stopped the march of EVERYTHING, it seems something unreal or that perhaps we would never live it, even the “most big” have been seen as small and weak. Despite all this, our schools continue to work remotely with much love and dedication and the work they are carrying out is appreciated. God bless our schools and our communities always.

As Pastor of these communities of Saint Columbkille and Nativity, I want to convey to you my closeness and all my love as pastor and man of faith, trusting in the Blessed Virgin Mary the “Virgin praying” because Mary appears in Cana, where, manifesting the Son with A delicate plea, a temporary necessity, also obtains an effect of grace: that Jesus, performing the first of his “signs”, confirms his disciples in faith in him (cf. Jn 2: 1-12). And it is what we do today, asking Her again to intercede for us so that the virus is wiped from the face of the earth.

May is the month dedicated to our mothers and also to Mary who is also the “Virgin-Mother”, that is, the one who “by her faith and obedience begot the Son of the Father on earth, without contact with man, but covered through the shadow of the Holy Spirit “: prodigious motherhood constituted by God as” type “and” exemplar “of the fruitfulness of the Virgin-Church, which” becomes herself a Mother, because with preaching and baptism she begets a new and immortal life to children, conceived by the work of the Holy Spirit, and born of God. ”

My invitation is that during this month of May we can pray “together” the holy rosary asking for our families, for our school, for our community and ultimately for the whole world, and that we also teach our children and youth love , respect and devotion to our Blessed Mother; one of my most beautiful memories of my family is precisely the love and devotion to the Blessed Virgin Mary that my parents founded on me, because every day the rosary was recited and there was no excuse for not doing it. Nativity will pray a decade of the Rosary together each Wednesday via Zoom at 8:45am. All are invited and encouraged to join.

Finally, I want to assure you of my prayers for all of you while I hope that we will meet again very soon as a community, as a people of God to celebrate the wonders of the Creator. May Saint Joseph obtain for the Church and for the whole world, as well as for each one of us, the blessing of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit. Amen.

Blessings,

Fr. Ever M. Quintero
