Nativity Robotics Team First Competition a Tremendous Success!

November 23, 2015 by Susan Armendariz

The Nativity Robotics Team placed 7th out of 30 teams in their first Robotics Tournament at La Canada High School on Saturday, November 21, 2015.  Throughout their preparation, USC Student/Coach Jessica Nichols, Loyola High School Student Chris Lewis, Parent Support Nancy Lewis, Principal Antonio Felix, Nativity Faculty and Staff, and the USC Caruso Catholic Center supported students.  On the day of the competition, a large crowd of parents filled the stands. Coach Jessica said, “Our students had an amazing experience.  Each student was respectful, confident and showed that they worked well together as a team.” During the project judging session, students performed their skit flawlessly and answered every question, which the judges asked, directly and with heart. This year’s judges included engineers from Jet Propulsion Lab, NASA and Walt Disney Imagineering.  The Nativity Robotics Team had a pretty amazing rookie season, and a bright future ahead.
